Four simple but significant things you can do now.

Reminder
STEP 1: Right now, save 20 seconds of video of George Floyd in the street begging for his life.
STEP 2: Save 20 seconds of video of the protestors getting maced and beaten in the streets so the president can hold up a Bible for a photo.
STEP 3: Save 20 seconds with the diversity of types of people coming together to protest on behalf of Black lives.
STEP 4: Put those videos together in a 1-minute video.
STEP 5: In your phone calendar, put in a reminder event for August 1, Sept 1, Oct 1 and Nov 1 to play the video.
STEP 6: Play that video on each date to remind yourself of the pain of this time.

Action Item #2:
Voter Registration
STEP 1: Right now, Look up the voter’s registration deadline for your county. There should be a date by which you must register to vote in the presidential election for 2020. To help you start you can check out Voter Registration Deadlines BUT It’s best to double-check with your state for any recent changes to election rules in your state. Don’t delay, check today!
STEP 2: Backing up from that date, put in a weekly reminder to REGISTER TO VOTE 2020 along with the location for registration. If you are going to early vote or absentee vote, get the info now, there may be forms for each you must fill out. Find out if there are any other offices up for election that day and educate yourself.
STEP 3: Spread the word! Tell 5 or more people about the registration details you discovered and post it to your favorite social media stream.
